And what does Dandie want to do on her day off from school? School. And not play school, either. I know I should be overjoyed by that, but I honestly did not have anything prepared for homeschool this morning. So I fed the girls breakfast, made my coffee, and finished up an emergent reader book I started last night while I ate my breakfast. This book is about fall (since Daisie has been working on the letter f this week), and uses the sight words I, like, see, the (sight words both girls are learning right now).

We cut out each page, pasted them to fall-colored card stock, and stapled them together. You can put your book together however you want. I prefer to paste the pages to card stock because the books last longer. I also used colored clip art since Daisie gets bored with coloring so many pages. Cutting and pasting is enough for her! We read our books together when we were done, emphasizing each sight word and the letter f in fall. We chose two more fall-themed books to read and discuss:
The girls are finishing up the morning working on an art project (more about that later!). Now I'm off to take a shower, finish the laundry and the dishes, and get some lunch. Hope you have a great Friday!
P.S. Email me or leave a comment below if you'd like a copy of this book with pictures to color. I would be happy to make it for you!
