Five Senses Activity

Earlier this summer we did a short study of the five senses. I designed a rather simple book for the girls to explore their senses and how they work. They really enjoyed making their books, so I thought I'd share with all of you!

You can use this book in several ways. Children can write a short narrative about how they use their senses, or they can choose to make a list of what they use their senses for. They can also draw pictures, or cut photos from magazines. Be flexible and creative. One lesson that I've learned from teaching my children is that they are more excited about the activity if I let them take the lead. What works with one child may not work with the other!
